Reasons Why You’re Not Getting Married

By Team iDiva

Throughout your 20s you dreamed of having the perfect wedding with the man of your dreams. Now that you wish to walk down the aisle and settle down for good, you are left feeling lost and confused. Wondering what's stopping you? Take a look at the reasons why you are not getting married.

You are not ready yet: So your cousins and friends are getting hooked one by one, and all you are left wondering is – when will my time come?  If you think closely, you are most likely to realise that you are not ready to take the plunge yet. Then why rush?

You are looking for the perfect guy: Does he really exist? Looking for the right guy is a reasonable thing to do, but if you are waiting for the perfect guy, then you are in trouble. After all each one of us comes with a fundamental flaw, don’t you think so?

You cannot forget your past: They say time is the best healer. But what if the past holds on to you for the longest time? Sometimes forgetting the man who you loved years ago can be the most difficult task when you actually plan to settle down for good.

You over share: Do you find yourself too overwhelmed at times while talking to men? If yes, then don’t make the mistake of getting down to every minute detail of your life. Too much information is bad, and is most likely to turn off a probable suitor.

You are too focused on marriage than a relationship: They say marriage is a union of two minds based on love, trust and lifelong commitment. Amidst all this, you need to also realise the real purpose behind getting hitched. A marriage can hence wait if you are not sure about sustaining a relationship.
