THE
SHAME
Sex addicts, in other words, are not
simply people who crave lots of sex. Instead, they have underlying problems
like stress, anxiety, depression and shame that drive their often risky sexual
behavior. That does not mean that it is not a very real problem.
THE
PROBLEM
Nevertheless, sex addiction is real,
and it can involve many different sexual antics, it may be a strong desire to
have sex, masturbate, watch porn, or flirt. Sexual addiction takes up a great
deal of energy, and you know you are in trouble when your behavior causes
relationship breakdowns, job problems, legal issues, and a loss of interest in
anything non-sexual. This problem puts so much at risk like their personal
lives, their social lives, their jobs, and, with the threat of HIV/AIDS and other
sexually transmitted diseases and their health.
BOYS
AND THE GIRLS
Such boys and girls show their
inability to stop what they are doing, they are preoccupied, their brain just
keeps going back to it. It often leads to loneliness and isolation leading to
intense shame and pain. Emotionally, individuals with a sexual addiction are at
risk for terrible guilt and shame at their actions and the secrecy involved.
YOGA
AND MEDITATION
When we do things because we are
compelled to do them, and then hate ourselves for giving in to the urge, we
create a nasty pattern of behavior that destroys our lives. When you know that
what you are doing is wrong but you cannot seem to help yourself, you have a
problem. It is the time for you to concentrate on Yoga and Meditation which
will indeed cure your instincts from any further harm to yourself.
